About the Role

A premier luxury resort in Exuma is seeking a highly skilled and service-oriented I.T Assistant Manager to support and enhance all aspects of the property’s information technology systems. This role is ideal for a motivated and detail-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment and is committed to delivering seamless technical operations and exceptional guest and staff support.

The I.T Assistant Manager will work closely with the I.T Manager and department heads to ensure the smooth operation, security, and optimization of all resort systems — from property management and POS systems to network infrastructure, communications, and guest connectivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the management, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all hotel technology systems, including PMS, POS, HR, and accounting platforms.

  • Assist in overseeing the daily operation and reliability of servers, Wi-Fi networks, switches, routers, and telecommunication systems.

  • Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential risks, downtime, or inefficiencies.

  • Ensure data security, regular backups, and disaster recovery processes are executed according to policy.

  • Provide timely on-site technical assistance to all departments and ensure minimal disruption to guest services.

  • Assist in implementing technology upgrades, integrations, and new software rollouts.

  • Train and support staff on the use of technology tools and systems to improve operational efficiency.

  • Collaborate with vendors and external IT partners to ensure service quality and compliance with resort standards.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of systems, assets, and maintenance logs.

  • Support 24/7 resort operations, participating in on-call rotations as required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 3–5 years of experience in IT support or systems administration, ideally within the hospitality or resort industry.

  • Strong knowledge of network administration, Microsoft 365, Windows Server, and hardware/software troubleshooting.

  • Experience with hospitality management systems (Opera, Micros, InfoGenesis, etc.) preferred.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a hands-on, proactive approach.

  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and communicate technical information clearly.

  • Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and a high level of professionalism.
